The 9610
is a ten-channel digital drop-and-insert video
communications system with reverse sync and control
data (RS232 or RS422). It is designed to serve
particularly demanding perimeter monitoring
applications such as those associated with
access-control security systems, airport runways,
or along stretches of highway, wheereever it is
important that video systems be installed with
minimal fibre runs.

A
9610V system consists of a receiver/master control
uit (MCU) capable of supporting up to ten real-time
video input signals from transmitter/remote
units(RUs). RUs may be specified for one-channel,
two-channel, up to ten-channel operation. Systems
may be configured several ways depending upon the
requirements of your specific application. Several
examples of configurations are provided on the two
pages which follow.
Both the MCU and the RUs mount
easily in standard EIA 19-inch (48.3 cm) racks.
Systems are foffered for use over one or two
8.3/125 um optical fibres.
Optionally, one of the ten forward
video channels may be specified as a data channel,
thereby enabling two-way RS232 or RS422 data
transmission.
